GIORDANO RECEIVES HONORARY MEMBERSHIP IN THE ORDER OF BARRISTERS

Knoxville, Tennessee. Lawrence F. Giordano, a shareholder in the law firm of Lewis, King, Krieg & Waldrop, P.C., has been nominated by the University of Tennessee College Of Law to honorary membership in The Order of Barristers in recognition for his years of service to the College of Law’s moot court program.  The Order of Barristers is a national honorary society that encourages excellence in oral advocacy and brief writing skills through effective law school programs.  The Order recognizes graduating students who have excelled in advocacy and service at their respective schools, as well as members of the legal community who have provided exceptional service.

Mr. Giordano is an adjunct Professor of Law at the University Of Tennessee College Of Law where he has taught advocacy courses in Pretrial Litigation, Trial Advocacy and Advanced Trial Advocacy.  He has coached trial teams for the College since 1992. Most recently he has been the coach of the College’s American Association for Justice National Student Trial Advocacy Competition Teams.

Mr. Giordano’s practice focuses primarily on representing businesses with respect to general and complex business disputes and the representation of school systems with education law issues. He is licensed in Tennessee and has practiced in both the state and federal courts since 1978. Mr. Giordano currently serves as President of the Board of Trustees of Catholic Charities of East Tennessee. He received his undergraduate degree with highest honors from Denison University where he was selected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center and has practiced law in Knoxville since 1978.
